B Sadananda Rao

the so-called populist Debt Relief Scheme (DRS) of the Central

performance of Indian banks has to be judged on the basis
of growth, credit quality, strength, soundness, efficiency

of the depositors and the borrowers. The measure of this trust
is the strength and soundness of a bank. Ultimately, the ability
of a bank to absorb shocks mainly depends on its strength
alone.
